So, you can go to a place. I am going to the movies. Yo voy al cine. But, just like in English, you can talk about the near future by using the verb ir. I am going to dance and sing at the party tonight. Yo voy a bailar y cantar en la fiesta esta noche.

In Spanish, many useful expressions are formed by combining two verbs. When this occurs, the first verb is conjugated, while the second verb remains in the infinitive form.
