4 Subject Pronouns Spanish also has two pronouns for "you" – T Ú = Y OU – U STED = Y OU The difference pertains to the social register – T Ú = Y OU ( FAMILIAR ) – U STED = Y OU ( FORMAL ) Because of its grammatical properties, USTED will always be grouped with él and ella (like- wise, USTEDES will group with ellos and ellas)
