El complemento directo. ¿What is the direct object? Direct object is the receiver of the action and answers the question what? or who? With regard to the verb in a sentence. María busca su libro. ¿Qué busca María? The answer is su libro (is the direct object)

¿Dónde colocamos el pronombre en la oración? 1- The DOP can be placed right before the conjugated verb in a sentence with one verb. Juan tiene el libro Juan lo tiene Juan has the book. El libro is the direct object and it’s a masculine singular noun therefore it’s replaced with the pronoun lo Juan lee la novela Juan la lee Juan reads the novel. La novela is the direct object and it’s a femenine singular noun therefore it’s replaced with the pronoun la.

Colocación del pronombre 3- The direct object pronoun can be attached to a present participle. (verb ending in ando or iendo) or can be placed before the verb estar. Mario está mirando la película. Mario is watching the movie. Mario está mir á ndo la (place an accent on the vowel a in ando or the vowel e in iendo) Mario la está mirando. Mario is watching it.
