1 Los Pronombres de Objeto Directo (D.O.P.- Direct Object Pronouns) The Direct Object receives the action of the verb. You use the Direct Object Pronoun (D.O.P.) when you don’t want to keep repeating the direct object. Examples: - Do you wash the dishes everyday? - Yes, I wash them everyday. (Instead of repeating “the dishes” we use the pronoun “them”) -Do you make dinner on Sundays? -No, I don’t make it on Sundays. (Instead of repeating “dinner” we use the pronoun “it”)

5 Direct Object pronouns are placed before conjugate verbs and after infinitive verbs When the verb is conjugated, the Direct Object Pronoun (D.O.P.) is placed before the verb; Ejemplo : Yo corto el césped. = Yo lo corto. When there are two verbs in a row, the first verb is conjugated and the second one stays in the infinitive and the D.O.P. is attached to the infinitive. Ejemplo : Nosotros necesitamos lavar el carro. Nosotros necesitamos lavarlo.

8 D.O.P. with Informal Commands (“Tú” commands) Affirmative: Use the él/ella/ud. form of the regular present tense verb, attach the D.O.P. (Direct Objet Pronoun) at the end and put an accent.
