Verbos como aburrir, interesar, y gustar The verbs aburrir, interesar, and gustar function the same in Spanish and English – Ex. Me interesan los deportes_ Sports are interesting to me – Ex. Me gusta correr I like to run You have to think of reading the phrase backwards – Ex. Me aburren las matemáticas= math is boring to me These verbs use indirect object pronouns (IOPs)

Pronombres de complemento indirecto An indirect object pronoun (IOP) shows who recieves the action of the verb. Me (a mí) – to me Te (a tí) – to you Le (a él, a ella, a usted) – to him, her, you (formal) Nos ( a nosotros) – to us Os (a vosotros) – to you all Les (a ellos, a ellas, a ustedes) – to them, you all En inglés: I give the books to you En español: Yo te doy los libros a ti

Me - me Te – you Nos – we La- it (feminine) Lo – it (masculine) Las – those/them (feminine) Los – those/them (masculine) Pablo compra el boleto.
