¿Qué tiempo hace? What is the weather like? (What weather is it making?) In English we say “It is…” to express weather expressions. En español, we use several different expressions. Hace… Está…

3 “Hace…” + (muy) …buen / mal tiempo. …sol. …calor. …frío. …fresco.
…viento. (good / bad weather) (It’s sunny.) (It’s hot.) (mucho) (It’s cold.) (It’s cool.) (It’s windy.)

4 “Está…” + …soleado. …nublado.

5 ¿Qué tiempo hace? Llueve. Nieva. (Va a llover.) (Va a nevar.)
We also use some different stand-alone expressions. They don’t use “hace” or “está.” Llueve. Nieva. (Va a llover.) (Va a nevar.) (Está lloviendo.) (Está nevando.) (la lluvia) (la nieve)

7 Converting the temperature…:
Most Spanish-speaking countries use the Celsius scale of temperature, while the U.S. uses the Fahrenheit scale. To convert temperatures: C0 x 9/ = F0 (C0 x = F0 ) F0 x 5/ = C0 (F0 / = C0 )
