4 Indirect Object Pronouns n Notice the direct object in the following sentence. Él tiene ropa de invierno. He has winter clothes.

5 Indirect Object Pronouns n Notice that the direct object is replaced by a direct object pronoun. Él tiene ropa de invierno. Él la tiene.

6 Indirect Object Pronouns n Remember that the direct object pronoun preceeds the verb. Él la tiene.

7 Indirect Object Pronouns n Remember, when there are 2 verbs the direct object pronoun can come before the 1st verb. Él puede jugar al tenis. Él lo puede jugar.

11 Indirect Object Pronouns n Plural indirect object pronouns: nos= us os= you (familiar) les = you, them

15 Indirect Object Pronouns n When there is 1 verb in a sentence the indirect object is placed before the verb. Ana le da el libro.

16 Indirect Object Pronouns n When there are 2 verbs in a sentence the indirect object can be placed before the verb, or be attached to the infinitive or gerund (ando/ iendo forms). Ana le puede dar el libro. Ana puede darle el libro. Ana está dándole el libro.

17 Indirect Object Pronouns n Le and les may refer to different indirect objects, so the following construction is used at the end of the sentence to clarify: a + name/noun/pronoun

19 Indirect Object Pronouns n To add emphasis the following construction is used at the beginning of the sentence. a + pronoun
