Informaltú commands Unlike the formal command (usted / ustedes), tú commands have one form for affirmative commands and a different form for negative commands. –Mercedes: “Chiquita, escucha. Informaltú commands To form an affirmative tú command, simply use the 3 rd person singular (él / ella / usted) present-tense form. To form a negative tú command, take the affirmative tú command, and replace the final vowel with –es for – ar verbs and with –as for –er/-ir verbs.
