4 Direct Object Pronouns The object in a sentence that directly recieves the action of the verb. Ex) I buy the apple. What’s being bought? The apple.  DOP. Ex) I wash the dishes. What’s being washed? The dishes.  DOP

5 DOPs Lo (masculine singular) La (feminine singular) Los (masculine plural) Las (feminine plural)

6 DOPs Yo compro la manzana.  I buy the apple. Yo la compro.  I buy it. Yo voy a comprar la.  I’m going to buy it. Yo tengo que comprar la.  I have to buy it.

7 Commands + DOP IF you use an affirmative command AND a Direct Object Pronoun together, you attach the pronoun to the END of the command. Ex) Lava los platos  Lavalos You must add an accent when you attach a pronoun to a command of two or more syllables to retain the original spoken accent. Ex) Lavalos  Lávalos.

9 Commands + DOP Infinitive: Limpi ar la cocina Command: Limpi a la cocina Command + DOP: L í mpi ala
