Today these foods are found in dishes in many countries.  The product exchange benefited both sides of the Atlantic Ocean. The noun being describe will come first followed by “de.”  Example: vegetable soup = la sopa de verduras  Another example is strawberry yogurt = el yogur de fresas  The noun following “de” will not change even though the first one is plural.  Example: el sándwich de jamón los sándwiches de jamón CONTINUED >>>>
