Tarea Your homework was to create a map of your ideal city. If you have your map with you, take it out now. If you do not have your map with you, raise your hand for further directions.

GPS MADNESS We will be having a March-Madness style tournament with our GPS directions. When Señorita Hall says GO… you will follow the directions on the next slide. You must follow all directions correctly in the time provided to compete in the tournament!

WRITING: GPS STYLE Based on the map you have in front of you, you will write THREE different sets of directions taking you from one place on the map to another.

COMPAÑEROS 45 seconds to find a compañero that you have not worked with previously and make side-by-side pairs. Remember, if we are not there in 45 seconds we will do it again!

COMPAÑEROS CONTINUED You and your partner will be back to back. One partner reads their directions and the other will try to follow along with the directions on their map. Once you say where you are at, turn around to check the answers and how you got there. Switch and take turns. Keep track of who gets the most correct.

GPS MADNESS The winning compañero will join a class competition to see who can follow directions the best! If you were the losing compañero, you will follow your partner around the room in your competition. You will earn participation points based on your best SILENT and CRAZY fan faces and expressions. Who will win???

GROUP GAME: MATAMOSCAS I will divide the classroom into 2 teams. Each team will line up in front of the board. When I say the word in English, the first person will “swat” the word on the board. They will then tell me the word/phrase in Spanish. For the team to get the point, everyone in line must be doing the action to go along with the word.
