2 Conjugating Boot Verbs ● There are 2 parts to Spanish verbs ○ Stem (all letters before the infinitive ending) ○ Infinitive Ending -ar / -er / -ir ● Some verbs have a change in their stem when conjugated in the present tense ○ Present tense stem changes are e → ie, 0 → ue, e → i, u → ue ● These verbs are called “Boot Verbs” or “Stem- Changing Verbs”

4 Conjugating Verbs -ar Verbs oamos asáis aan -er Verbs oemos eséis een -ir Verbs oimos esís een Remember The Steps to Conjugating from Unit 2: 1.Identify your subject. 2.Identify what type of verb you have (-ar, -er, or -ir). 3.Remove the infinitive ending. 4.Add the new ending (based on the subject) back on to the stem.
