2 Gustar = to like Reflexive Pronouns Conjugations menosgusta → verbs, singular objects teos gustan → plural objects leles So, the person doing the liking has to match up to a reflexive pronoun, and the thing being liked has to match up to a conjugation of gustar. Gustar

3 1.When a thing is being liked, you must include its article (el/la/los/las) 2.When a person is liking something, you must use the ‘A personal’ 3.You must conjugate gustar according to the number of objects that are being liked Rules of Gustar

4 With ‘A Personal,’ you must use certain personal pronouns. They are as follows: mínosotros/nosotras tivosotros/vosotras él/ella/ud.ellos/ellas/uds. Note: You can also just use a name like “A Mariana le gusta nadar.” More on ‘A Personal’

5 Let’s form a sentence! Rosa likes birthday parties. A Rosa le gustan las fiestas de cumpleaños. The black bolded letters each represent a “rule” of gustar being followed correctly. Un Ejemplo

6 Encantar = to love Doler = to hurt -Encanta -Duele -Encantan -Duelen These verbs work in the same way as gustar. You must use a reflexive pronoun and the correct conjugation of the verb. Encantar y Doler
