Normally on a question 9, there is no difference between using the preterite and imperfect. The main thing you must remember is to add the accent!! Preterites are tricky for most people

Some verbs are ‘irregular’ in the preterite because of their stem: estar estuv- poner pus- tener tuv- saber sup- haber hub- hacer hic- poder pud- querer quis- venir vin-decir dij- producir – produj-introducir – introduj- They all take the same endings though: -e -iste -o -imos -isteis -ieron
