2  Demonstrative pronouns are used to say “this one,” “that one,” “these,” or “those.”  They also agree in gender and in number with the nouns they represent.  In Spanish, the are the same as the demonstrative adjectives, but they carry a written accent mark to distinguish them from the adjective form.
