Indirect Object Pronouns Indirect Objects are nouns that tell to whom/what or for whom/what They replace (or accompany) indirect objects. (If there is an indirect object then there must be an IOP in the sentence as well.)

le and les These pronouns can refer to different indirect objects. –Example: Susana, my dad, him To help clarify what they mean, they are often used with : a + name, noun, or pronoun. examples: a Susana or a mi padre or a él

Ejemplo 1 Rosa le compra una camisa a su madre. –Rosa buys a shirt for her mother. Rosa le compra una camisa. –Rosa buys a shirt for her.

Ejemplo 2 Yo les cuento del examen a mis amigos. –I tell (to) my friends about the test. Yo les cuento del examen. –I tell (to) them about the exam.
