3 Uses 1. Location: where somtehing or where someone is located. I am in school. Yo estoy en la escuela. You are in Pittsburgh. Tú estas en Pittsburgh.

4 Uses Temporary Condition: emotional or physical conditions. – I am sad that we have homework. –Yo estoy triste que tenemos tarea. –I am sick. –Yo estoy enfermo(a).* –I am ready. –Yo soy listo(a)* *Some phrases change meaning when using ser.
