3 Example: ¡Estoy contenta! I am happy! Also know: ¿Cómo estás? How are you?

4 Yo estoy I am excited! ¡Yo estoy emocionado!

5 Tú estás Are you angry? ¿Estás enojado/a?

6 Él/Ella/Ud. está He is depressed. Él está deprimido. Are you busy?- formal ¿Usted está ocupado/a?

7 Nosotros estamos We are nervous. (Nosotros) estamos nerviosos.

8 Ellos/Ellas/Uds. están Are you guys tired? ¿Uds. están cansados? They are calm. Ellos están tranquilos.

9 When expressing LOCATION, follow your form of “estar” with “en” (at).

10 Example: Estoy en la escuela. I am at school. Also know: ¿Dónde estás? Where are you at?

11 Yo estoy I am in class. Yo estoy en clase.

12 Tú estás You are in the gym. Tú estás en el gimnasio.
