Standard 1.2: Students demonstrate an understanding of and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics. Objective: Students will learn that there are 4 articles for the article(the) in Spanish and how to use them correctly according to gender agreement.

2 Definite Articles, el, la, los, las
In Spanish, the definite (it defines something, THE book, not just any book) article that accompanies a noun will match its gender and number. el chico the boy los chicos the boys la chica the girl las chicas the girls

3 Definite Articles, el, la, los, las=THE
In Spanish all nouns have masculine or feminine Gender. el chico la chica el vestido la camisa When nouns identify one item they are: singular el amigo. When they identify more than one item, they are: plural. los amigos. U1E2

5 Indefinite Articles a,an
Standard 2: Students demonstrate an understanding of and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics. Objective: Students will learn that there are 4 articles for (A,An) in Spanish and how to use them correctly.

6 Indefinite Articles (A, An, some): un, una, unos, unas
A noun may sometimes appear with an indefinite article (because it is not defined, it could be a boy...any boy). The indefinite article that accompanies a noun will also match its gender and number. EE1 U1E2

7 Indefinite Articles (A,An): un, una, unos, unas
Masculino singular un chico (a boy) plural unos chicos (some boys) singular una chica ( a girl) plural unas chicas(some girls) Feminina
