Verbos LLOVER (to rain) XXX LLUEVE
--> it rains, it is raining [ej: Llueve mucho en la primavera.] NEVAR (to snow) NIEVA --> it snows, it is snowing [No nieva mucho en Memfis.]

Idioms HACER (to do, to make) --> it does/it makes = HACE (3rd singular) To make the idiom form for weather, use HACE + noun (el) sol [sun] = Hace sol = It is sunny. (el) viento [wind] = Hace viento = It is windy. (el) frío [cold] = Hace frío = It is cold. (el) calor [heat] = Hace calor = It is hot. (el) fresco [cool] = Hace fresco = It is cool.

*To tell the degree of the weather (it is VERY hot; it is A LITTLE windy) use "UN POCO" for a little or "MUCHO" for very in between the verb and the noun ¡Hace mucho calor! It is very hot Eh, hace un poco frío hoy. Eh, it's a little cold out today. Hace un poco viento. It's a little windy.
