Just like in English, you use the conditional to tell what would happen or what would take place if conditions were different. WWe would travel to Europe but we don’t have enough money. TThe plane would take off now but it can’t because there is bad weather. NNosotros viajaríamos a Europa pero no tenemos suficiente dinero. EEl avión despegaría ahora pero no puede porque hace mal tiempo.

3 The conditional is also used to express a polite request. WWould you please pass me the headphones? WWould you please fasten your seatbelt, sir? ¿¿Me pasaría usted los audífonos, por favor? ¿¿Se abrocharía el cinturón de seguridad, por favor, señor?
