3 -ER & -IR Verbs As we saw in the previous presentation, there are three conjugations of verbs in Spanish: –AR, – ER, and –IR. -ER and –IR verbs are often studied together because all of their endings (except one) are identical.

4 BEBER Let’s look at an example, the verb BEBER, which means “to drink.” It ends in –ER, so it is included in this class.
