La Pronunciación K and W appear only in words of foreign origin. (kilo, whisky) H is always silent. (hay, hola) CH is the fourth letter of the alphabet and sounds like it does in English. (chaleco) B and V are identical in sound. Y alone or at the end of the word sounds like long e without the glide. (y, rey, hay) Y everywhere else sounds like the y in yellow. (mayo, ya, yo) X sounds like the English ks or gs.
