4 Estar when trying to remember how to use estar, here is a helpful rhyme: How you feel and where you are, always use the verb estar. …in other words, use estar for location and for temporary conditions.

5 Examples of Estar an example of location: ¿Dónde está Paco? Where is Paco? Paco está en la playa con sus amigos. Paco is at the beach with his friends. I am located on the beach. I am not from the beach.

6 Examples of Estar an example of a temporary condition: ¿Cómo estás hoy? How are you today? Estoy muy bien, gracias. I am very well, thanks. I am currently & temporarily well. I will not always be well.

8 Examples of Ser 1.Expressing the day, date, and time: Es lunes (It is Monday). 2. Origin: Miguel es de Colombia (Mike is from Colombia.) 3. Nationality: Yo soy americana (I am American). 4. Occupation: Mi mamá y yo somos maestras.

9 Examples of Ser 5. Possession: La loción es de Anita (The lotion is Anitas). 6. Personality traits and physical descriptions: Ellos son muy cómicos (They are very funny). 7. Relationships: Nacho es mi novio (Nacho is my boyfriend). 8. What something is made of: La botella es de plástico (The bottle is plastic).
