Don’t forget that you need to pluralize the articles when pluralizing the nouns. el huevo  los huevosla cebolla  las cebollas un pollo  unos pollosuna verdura  unas verduras

Nouns that end in a consonant are pluralized by adding –es to the noun. el profesor  los profesoresun papel  unos papeles If a noun ends in –z, the z changes to c when the noun is pluralized. el lápiz → los lápices

To keep stress on the correct syllable, it’s sometimes necessary to add or remove a written accent mark. el examen  los exámenesel jamón  los jamones

El plural de los adjetivos (Pluralizing Adjectives) Remember that adjectives in Spanish always agree in gender and number with the nouns that they describe. El queso es bueno para la salud. (Cheese is good for your health.) La leche es buena para la salud. (Milk is good for your health.) Los refrescos no son buenos para la salud. (Soft drinks aren’t good for your health.) Las manzanas son buenas para la salud, (Apples are good for your health.)

Like nouns, adjectives that end in a consonant are pluralized by adding –es. Gustavo es trabajador. Gustavo y Mario son trabajadores. Remember that adjectives whose masculine singular form ends in a vowel other than –o have the same masculine and feminine forms. Ana es paciente. Carlos es paciente.

When a noun is plural, add an –n to the end of gusta and encanta. Also, you need to include the definite article (el, la, los, las) when using nouns with these verbs. Me gusta el arroz. (I like rice.) Me gustan las hamburguesas. (I like hamburgers.)
