2 Yesterday we talked about two ways to talk about the future: Immediate Future ir a + infinitive True Future infinitive + ending Before we begin talking about the irregular verbs in the future, lets review the forms of the future that we learned yesterday. EX: Voy a ir a la fiesta. I am going to go to the party. EX: Iré a la fiesta. I will go to the party.

3 True Future To form the true future, we use the infinitive form of the verb (still has the original –AR, -ER, or –IR) plus the ending. Lets practice… yonosotros/as tútú él ella usted ellos ellas ustedes

5 Irregular Forms in the Future Some verbs have irregular forms in the future tense. Fortunately, these endings are the same as the endings for regular verbs. The only changes happen in the stem of the verb. 1.decir dir é (will say, tell) 3. poner pondr é (will put) hacer har é (will make or do) salir saldr é (will leave; will go out) tener tendr é (will have) 2. haber habr é ( there will be; will have) venir vendr é (will come) poder podr é (will be able) caber cabr é (will fit) querer querr é (will want) Notice that the verbs are in three groups: saber sabr é (will know) The verbs within each group have similar changes in the stem. Once you learn the yo form of the irregular futures, you can figure out all the other forms. Here are the ones you should know:
