Estar y Ir Apuntes Unas direcciones básicas Práctica con los dados Students used our “Tabla de verbos” to record info on verb conjugations. Students took notes in their “cuaderno de apuntes” for other notes such as ser vs estar, examples with estar and ir, and definitions for the directions.

Students have previously been introduced to vocab, have list, have played pictionary, we do repeat pronunciation with the list (I have it on the screen of my agenda) before this lesson.

Translation: You are on the avenue. I have them do 10 total. +/-

7 Ir - to go voy vas va vamos vais van Add to “table de verbos”
I do teach this with estar because the kids already knew the singular forms for estar. I tell them Ir, with a stem of V, has the same conjugations as estar only no accents.

8 Ir - to go I’m going downtown. Where are you going?
Juan is going by car. We go by train. Are you all going on foot? They’re going on horseback. Voy al centro. ¿Adónde vas? Juan va en carro. Vamos en tren. ¿Vais a pie? Ellos van a caballo. Remember the present tense can translate to 3 things.
