The following vebs have irregular stems in the future tense. The same endings are added onto these stems: Verb Future Stem decir dir- haber habr- Hacer har- poder podr- salir pondr- tener saldr- venir vendr- querer querr- saber sabr- Ejemplos: Vendremos después de la escuela. We will come after school. Sabrás la verdad pronto. The future tense is also used for “wonder” or speculation. Ejemplos: ¿Quién estará a la puerta? I wonder who is at the door?
