4 Saber Indicates to know: factual information (información)
ie...Yo sé el número de teléfono. Ella sabe la verdad. 2. to know how to do something (actividad) ie...Paco sabe jugar al fútbol.

5 Conocer conozco conocemos Conoces conocéis conoce conocen

6 Conocer Indicates: to know a person (una persona)
ie...Yo conozco al Sr. Ruiz. Ellos conocen a mis padres. 2. to be familiar with a person, place, of art/culture (un lugar o arte/cultura) ie...Paco conoce el parque de atracciones.

I know how to play cards. Paco knows the Fernandez family. Marta knows the address. Martina knows the city very well. My friends know how to do it. Luisa knows the information. The subject with these verbs is NOT who is bored, fascinated, interested, pleased etc. but RATHER WHAT bores them, fascinates, etc. IS IT SINGULAR OR PLURAL?

10 3rd person verbs ALWAYS need an Indirect object PRONOUN!!
Indirect object pronouns tell to whom or for whom me nos te os le les

11 ¿Cómo se dice en español?
I like horror movies. Soap operas bore them Marta is fascinated by reality tv. Are you interested in the documentary? I love this actress. The whole class loves to speak Spanish. Me gustan las películas de horror. Les aburren las telenovelas. A Marta le fascina la telerealidad. ¿Te interesa el documental? Me encanta esta actriz. A toda la clase le encante hablar español.

12 DAR MIEDO = to scare (give fear)
This is not a third person verb BUT it is usually done to someone so an indirect object pronoun is used. Ex. She scares me. Me da miedo. *Notice the pronoun goes in front of the verb!

13 ¿Cómo se dice…? They don’t scare me. I scare her a lot.
Nothing scares you.

14 DAR = to give *This verb is frequently used with direct and indirect object pronouns!
Mi madre me da dinero. (Indirect- to whom) Yo le doy un regalo a Roberto. (indirect- to whom)
