1 Meta: KNOW HOW TO CONJUGATE THE IRREGULAR VERB “IR” Palabra del día: Empate=tied 18 DE MARZO

2 Ir + a + infinitive (simple future)  Use when you want to say “you are going to do something” Example: I am going to play baseball tonight.

3 Ir + a + infinitive Ir = to go A = to Infinitive= verb not conjugated (bailar, caminar, correr)

4 ejemplo I am going to walk (in the park.) 1.*Conjugate “ir” for the person I am going = voy 2.*add “a” after it with the infintive of the verb to walk = a caminar

5 I am going to walk (in the park.)  Voy a caminar (en el parque.)

6 You are going to dance saturday.  You are going = vas  To dance = bailar  Put the “a” in between the “vas” and “bailar” & finish the sentence Vas a bailar el sábado.

7 ir a= to go to Yo= voy aNosotros= vamos a TÚ= vas a XXXXXX Él Ella = va a Usted Ellos Ellas = van a Ustedes

8 Remember!!  Use “el” or “los” to say “on Monday, Tuesday”, etc.  “A + el” turns into “al” BUT “A + la” stays the same “A la”

9 Practica 1.We are going to read in the countryside on Tuesday. 2.They are going to eat at home after school. 3.She is going to swim in the pool later. 4.I am going to go to work. 5.You are going to see a movie at the theater on Friday. Vamos a leer en el campo el martes. Ellos van a comer en casa despues de la escuela. Ella va a nadar en la piscina luego. Yo voy a ir al trabajo. Tú vas a ver una película al cine el viernes.
