Revise basic opinions from year 7 with whole class. No me gusta No me gusta nada

5 Pienso que……… This is a key phrase from the core language sheet – pupils should be happy using it in a variety of contexts to give their own opinion.

I really like blue and I like purple. I don’t like green but I like red. también I think that pink isn’t bad/is ok but I don’t like orange. pero I hate white but I really like black. Sentence building is a key focus of this year’s work with these groups in year 8. They could do these orally, written or a mixture depending on the group. I like purple and I also like blue. y I think that grey isn’t bad/is ok but I don’t like yellow.

Tiene mediano liso rizado ondulado erizado los ojos azules verdes marrones grises This is all language from year 7 – stress in particular the difference between ‘tengo’ and ‘tiene’ and the whole verb ‘tener’ is on their core language sheet. This slide could be used for sentence building practice, either whole class or pairs.

Tengo los ojos marrones y el pelo marrón también. ¡Hola! Soy Shakira. Soy de Colombia en América del Sur. Mi cumpleaños es el dos de febrero y tengo 35 años. Soy bastante alta (más alta que Kylie!) y tengo el pelo rubio y ondulado y los ojos marrones. Read the texts aloud. Then ask the pupils to then spend a few minutes reading them through out loud with a partner.

1. ¿Cómo se llama? 2. ¿Cuál es su nacionalidad? 3. ¿Dónde vive? 4. ¿Tiene hermanos o hermanas? 5. ¿De dónde es? 6. ¿Cuándo es su cumpleaños? Pupils are to generate some possible questions. I have put on this slide some possible questions they might come up with. Go through this list with them after about 8 minutes. Then return to the text and make sure they can ask/answer these orally in pairs. 7. ¿Cuántos años tiene? 8. ¿Cómo es?
