2 Más información Unlike English, the days of the week are NOT capitalized in Spanish. The Spanish calendar starts on Monday and ends on Sunday. The days of the week are all masculine (el/los). In this case “el” and “los” means “on” -Example: Yo voy a escuela los lunes. The date is written in the form: Day/Month/Year in Spanish.

3 lunes Imagine your driving to work on Monday morning and there are only ‘lunatics’ on the road. You watch looney tunes on lunes. “Luna” means Moon in English. -Moon and Monday both start with M.

4 martes On Tuesday you are the ‘smartess’ as you are rested from the weekend but its not Monday. Has a “t” in it like Tuesday.

5 miércoles Wednesday is the longest in both languages

6 jueves Imagine you ‘weigh less’ on Thursday as you have been working out all week.

7 viernes vIERnes – sounds like “air” and on Fridays you get fresh air over the weekend.

8 sábado Sabbath - Jewish rest day

9 domingo Similar to “dominos” which you might play on Sunday with your family.
