INPUT: teach ‘me gusta’ – students already know ‘el baloncesto’ and are challenged to recall this

4 = + No me gusta el fútbol. INPUT: teach ‘No me gusta’ – students already know ‘el fútbol’ and are challenged to recall this

5 = + Me encanta el tenis de mesa.
INPUT: teach ‘Me encanta’ – students already know ‘el tenis de mesa’ and are challenged to recall this. ‘Encantar’ is nearly a cognate. (‘to enchant’ i.e. really like). It is used here to really like ONE thing. If you want to say you like more than one thing use: Me encantan…

6 = + INPUT: teach ‘Odio’ – students already know ‘el tenis’ and are challenged to recall this. ‘odio’ is nearly a cognate i.e. I hate/find odious Odio el tenis.

7 = + Me gusta el bádminton.
INPUT slides 7-10 – say sentences first without words (listening, speaking) , then fly words in (for reading, speaking). Get students to notice decoding / correct pronunciation rules. Me gusta el bádminton.
