2 Comparatives Utilizamos los adjetivos en grado comparativo para comparar dos cosas o personas entre sí. Utilizamos than para construir frases comparativas. En castellano utilizamos más + adjetivo + que

3 Comparatives Short adjectives (1 syllable) Añadimos –er o –r.
Two – syllable adjectives ending in –y Eliminamos la –y y añadimos –ier. Longer adjectives (2or more syllables) Utilizamos more delante del adjetivo. Irregular forms Algunos adjetivos tienen formas totalmente irregulares.

4 Superlatives Utilizamos los adjetivos en grado superlativo para comparar una cosa o persona con la totalidad del grupo al que pertenece. En inglés, siempre utilizamos the delante de los adjetivos en grado superlativo. En castellano utilizamos el más + adjetivo

5 Superlatives Short adjectives (1 syllable) Añadimos –est o –st.

The richest person in the world is Bill Gates.

8 James es el chico más alto de su clase.
James is the tallest boy in the class.

9 Francia es más grande que el Reino Unido.
France is bigger than the UK.

10 Esa película es la menos interesante.
That film is the least interesting.

11 Las bicicletas de montaña son menos caras que los cohetes.
Mountain bikes are less expensive than rockets.

12 Stallone es fuerte, pero Schwarzenegger es más fuerte.
Stallone is strong, but Schwarzenegger is stronger.

13 Este libro es el más interesante.
This is the most interesting book.

14 Este libro es bueno, pero ése es mejor.
This book is good, but that book is better.

15 I’m taller than my mum, but my dad is the tallest member of our family.

18 Gold is more expensive than silver, but platinum is the most expensive metal.
