Cuando usarlos when to use them
Ser Estar Permanent or inherent quality eg: I am friendly=Soy amable Occupation/Nationality eg I am an engineer/ I am English Soy ingeniero / soy inglesa To express time and date eg it’s 3.30 = son las tres y media To form the passive eg the window was broken by the girl La ventana fue rota por la chica. Temporary state or quality eg: I am tired = Estoy cansada To indicate a place or location eg Madrid is in Spain Madrid está en España To form the continuous tense eg I am talking= estoy hablando
