3 The preterite is used to express simple past actions completed at a defined time in the past. Yesterday – ayer El domingo pasado – last Sunday El fin de semana pasado – last weekend.

5 The Preterite tense: is a past tense (“-ed”) talks about what happened

6 AR VERBS Take off the ending of the infinitive and add:
-é -aste -ó -amos -aron
